Planning

Let us help with your charter preparations. We've put together a "how-to" checklist to get you started, so when it comes time to set sail you can relax and enjoy the trip.

Where should I start?

  1. Areas of Interest

    • Let us know which areas you definitely want to explore and we can help you fill in the gaps along the way. Popular Destinations…

    • Once we know the highlights of your excursion, we can provide an estimated time allotment necessary to complete your schedule.

    • Decide the time and location you wish to be picked up/dropped off. (Moving fees may apply to pick-ups outside the lakes)

  2. Planning and Provisions

    • Oasis charters do not include food or beverage services, so you will need to provide your own.

    • You can also hire our concierge to help set up a caterer/chef, customize your schedule, and provide any other necessities you may need.

    • If booking an overnight charter, prepare whatever necessities you would normally bring to an Airbnb/Vrbo.

  3. Set up an APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance)

    • APA is an optional allowance that you can pay in advance before the start of your yacht charter. (Since it is payable before the start of your charter, the APA is only an estimation)

    • The APA is a way to simplify payments onboard and will be used to pay variable expenses that arise during your yacht charter.

      • Such expenses may include fuel, food and/or catering, beverage services, mooring fees, etc.

    • The captain will use and document each expenditure (which you can review at any point), so you can rest easy and focus on entertaining your guests.

    • If you did not spend your APA fully, the captain returns the remaining funds to you. If you spent more than your APA, you will have to cover the missing part.

How to Prepare?

  1. Attire

    • Outfits: Dress comfortably and remember to bring your swimsuit if you’re planning to travel to swimming-friendly areas.

    • Weather: Be aware that Pacific NW weather is whimsical and can turn on a dime. We suggest preparing for the full spectrum: cool & windy to hot & dry.

    • Shoes: We allow soft-sole “boat shoes” when exploring the exterior deck areas. However, there is a strict “shoe-free” policy for all indoor areas.

  2. Provisions

    • Our concierge can assist you in procuring delicious meals for the duration of your charter or hiring a chef/caterer specific to your needs.

    • If you plan to showcase your own culinary expertise, send us your grocery list and our concierge can have it ready for you upon boarding.

  3. Health and Medications

    • It is important to bring enough of your medications to ensure they will last the entire trip.

    • For overnight charters a Medical Disclosure Form should be provided to your captain to ensure they are prepared for any limitations due to health or disability. Your captain or our Concierge can provide you with the form.

  4. COVID-19 Safety

    • In accordance with the King County mandate effective October 25th and for the safety of your guests and our captains and crew, we are requiring proof of full COVID vaccination status in the form of your vaccination card, a photo of your vaccination card, or a photocopy of your vaccination card. For those who are unvaccinated or cannot prove vaccination status, you will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test from a testing provider in the last 72 hours. For more information regarding this policy, please visit kingcounty.gov

  5. Miscellaneous Items

    • Decorations: There is limited space for decorations, flowers, balloons, etc. Your captain or concierge can help guide you to make the most of the space available.
